JMM insulting people’s mandate: BJP

Tuesday, 18 June 2019 | PNS | Ranchi

State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday said that it is insult of people’s mandate, in which Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Executive President and former Chief Minister has termed that Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) is responsible for the humiliating defeat in the just concluded Lok Sabha elections and demanded that next elections should be conducted through ballot paper.

Attacking the JMM, State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said that JMM is saying this to get rid of squirm of its defeat in the just concluded Lok Sabha elections.

“If there is any morality remaining in the JMM, then it should ask Rajmahal MP Vijay Hansda to resign because he also won elections, conducted through EVM. When they won Rajmahal seat with the help of the EVM, it is right and in rest of the seats where Opposition lost then EVM is wrong. At the time of Gomia bye-election when JMM won and Kolebira by-election when Congress won then EVM was right,” said Shahdeo.

Hitting hard on JMM, the party Spokesperson said that but when they got defeat they started futile talking. “It shows that the opposition is doing politics of disappointment and hopelessness.

To hide its defeat JMM is saying all this. Giving such kinds of statement JMM is insulting mandate of people. When their Dishom Guru himself lost from Dumka then what is there to say for them,” he added.
