Industrial bodies in Chhattisgarh have appreciated the annual budget of the Chhattisgarh government presented on Friday in state assembly by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel who holds finance portfolio as well.
Pradeep Tandon, Chairman Chhattisgarh Chapter - Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FICCI), while appreciating the budget pointed that no additional taxation on industrial products is a welcome step.
“Reducing electricity tariff up to 400 units to half is a good decision. Setting up entrepreneur fund of Rs 5 crore for newcomers is a welcome sign. It shows they (government) are fulfilling the promises made in their manifesto,” Tandon said while talking to The Pioneer.
According to Tandon, this (budget) is well taken by industry and industry is hopeful that commitment which the Congress party had made for industries will be also fulfilled. This budget is motivating, he added.
While welcoming the State Budget 2019-20, Veenu Jain, Chairman, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chhattisgarh Chapter, said that the State Government has provided a budget for all. The focus on Agriculture, Rural Economy, Health, and Skill Development is highly appreciable.
Jain with a high note of appreciation commented that “the glimpses of the budget clearly indicates tremendous focus on rural economy specially the four major identification marks of the state which has to be saved; those are “Narua, Garua, Ghuruwa, Bari” that is - Water Conservation, Cattle and Cattle field management, Solid waste management and promotion of vegetables and fruit production traditionally.
