Hold Janata Darbar everyday, Anil Vij asks SPs

Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij on Tuesday directed that every Superintendent of Police and senior officials of Police working in the State will hold a Janata Darbar in their respective areas between 11 to 12 am every day to address the grievances of the people and ensure the disposal of every complaint. The Home Minister has also issued orders in this regard.

Vij said that the Police Department officers will also maintain the record of the complaints received in the Janata Darbar and will share their record with the complainants also so that the complainant, in future can get information about the action taken on their complaint. He said that all the Superintendents of Police, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and Commissioner of Police (CP) will inspect at least one police station located in the respective areas once in two days and will keep the inspection record.

The minister said that on every Tuesday and Wednesday, people can meet him at Haryana Civil Secretariat Chandigarh for the redressal of their grievance.

He said that people who wish to meet him at his residence, Ambala Cantonment, can meet on every Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 12 am while the people of Ambala Cantonment can come and meet him at any time on any day.

The Home Minister further said that those who are sending complaints through e-mail should only send on anilvijcomplaints@gmailcom.  He said that any complaint sent on any other mail will not be entertained. Apart from this, the complaints related to the Police Department can be set on the Police Department’s Harsamay portal.
