Educationist and social activist Dr Achyuta Samanta was conferred with ‘Personality of the Year Award’ by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) on Wednesday.
The award was presented at the 15th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2019 in New Delhi. Earlier, Dr Samanta spoke at the summit on the role of education in social development. The selection of award was done by a high level jury panel headed by Dr RA Mashelkar (Indian National Research Professors and Chancellor, Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research).
