Chief Minister Raghubar Das will inaugurate the newly constructed Patratu Lake Resort on October 02. The resort built beside the Patratu dam by State Tourism department is a magnificent tourist site with several amenities for people with all age groups.

Patratu Lake Resort is a tourist place away from the hustle and bustle of the city where children, elderly and young people of all ages can feel happy, where there is a huge children's park for children to play.

 On the hand variety of water sports, such as jet skiing, high speed motorboats, sideboats, casts and parasailing can be experienced at the water park. Apart from this, the amusement park has wall climbing, bungee jumping, multilayered rope course etc.    Patratu's geographical location and marvelous engineering have established the Patratu resort as an emerging tourist center. The entrance doors, walls and pillars adorned with mural artwork at the Patratu Lake Resort, spread over 21 acres in Patratu, are reminiscent of tattoo painting. The Resort has been developed as an open art gallery, while entering through the main gate, it houses 52 nominees from different states of the country and mural works made by some young artists.

In addition, 16 sculptures by famous craftsmen are proposed. Keeping in mind Chhath Puja, the major festival of  Jharkhand, a Chhath Ghat has also been constructed in the park, so that devotees can offer Arghya to the Sun at the time of Chhath Puja.

To get a panoramic view of sunset one can reach the sunset point of Patratu island by boat. Scaffolding and eaves are built to watch the sunset. Apart from this, many shops have been arranged for tourists to buy handicrafts and fancy items and a good restaurant for delicious food. An 8-block camping plinth area has been built to enjoy the bonfire at the Resort.

A 3.5 km promenade has been built over the dam for morning and evening walks, where tourists can enjoy the nature while walking. A modern guest house with all facilities has been arranged here for tourists to stay, where tourists can enter the room or dormitory as per their convenience.

Tourism Minister Amar Kumar Bauri, Secretary Rahul Sharma, Secretary Building Construction department Sunil Kumar, Director Tourism, Sanjeev Kumar Besra alongwith others will also remain present at the inaugural ceremony.
