The office of the GST, Central Excise and Customs, Bhubaneswar Zone undertook a “Swachhta Awareness Campaign” in the vicinity of Central Revenue Colony as well as in the Tribal Ashram School, Rasulgarh on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Officers and staffs led by zone Chief Commissioner Naresh Penumaka participated in the campaign. Penumaka encouraged the participants to inculcate the habit of cleanliness in their day to day life and to save electricity, water, food and to restrict the use of single-use plastics to make India clean and green.
He distributed “Swchhta Kit”, a Khadi bag, containing bathing soap, detergent, sanitary pad, ear-bud, nail-cutter, steel tray and handwriting notebooks, amongst the students of the tribal school. Among others, Principal Commissioner BK Kar, Additional Commissioners Anuradha Mishra, Santosh Kumar Mohanty, Shri Harbir, Joint Commissoners Gopal Krishna Pati and J Sateesh Chander and Assistant Commissioners Sourabh Chakravorty and TK Nayak took part in the distribution process.
