The Odisha Kinnar Mahasangha on Thursday felicitated Kajal Kinnar for being a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate to fight the ensuing election from the Korei Assembly seat in Jajpur district.
Mahasangha president Meera Parida, vice-president Sweety Kinnar, secretary Sadhana Kinnar, working secretary Meghna Sahoo, joint secretaries Meghana Kinnar, Chinmayee Behera and Sonam Kinnar and Madhuri Kinnar attended the programme held here.
Meera Parida called upon all political parties to follow the BSP and nominate candidates from the transgender community as they are an important constituent of the society.
