The young Bhopalites are learning cookery skills in workshop held at Jawahar Bal Bhavan. The cookery workshop was held here on Wednesday at Jawahar Bal Bhavan wherein participants learned to make nutritious yet tasty dishes.
The workshop is organised by Department of Home Science for the youngsters so that they can learn to cook nutritious food. Here on Wednesday, the participants learned to cook fruit custard for this summer. As many as 30 children were the participants of the workshop on Wednesday.
Here on Wednesday, the participants learned to make 'Khaman Dhokla'. In which the subject-expert Nisha Sharma told the children that Khaman Dhokla is a Gujarati language, it is very much liked. It is very light in the food, it can eat with tea in the finished dish.
To make Khaman Dhokla, gram flour, salt, edible oil, sugar, baking soda, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chilies and green coriander are used. After telling the material, the method of making the Khmana Dhokla to the children was explained.
Informing about the workshop, Director of Jawahar Bal Bhavan, Umashankar Nagaich said that every Wednesday, the cooking workshop is organised for the children by Department of Home Science.
In this wokshop, the participants learn to cook different dishes with nutritious value. He further said that such workshops also help the youngsters to cook and prepare these dishes at home.
He also said that different workshops by different departments are regularly organised by Jawahar Bal Bhavan.
