A Bastar Art shop was inaugurated by GP Upadhyay, Additional Chief Secretary HRD, Government of Sikkim at Swami Vivekananda Airport Raipur on Tuesday.
“The 1987 batch IAS officer, Upadhyay lauded the facilities at the Raipur airport. He also appreciated the lighting and spaciousness of the Raipur airport,” Director Raipur Airport Santosh Dhoke said.
Upadhyay after having a lunch at a restaurant in the airport appreciated the quality of food there.
Bastar art shop at the airport will enable the artisans to directly reach premium customer segment. It will also act as a spot where people coming from other places could get some authentic Bastar brass metal, Kosa silk and jewelries under one roof, an official from Raipur airport stated.
