This year’s ongoing High School Certificate (Matriculation) Examinations in the State are turning out to be a crude joke for the students as the images of the question papers continue to go viral on the social media every day despite tall claims made by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) that foolproof measures are being taken to check the menace.
After the question papers of the three language subjects of Odia, English and Hindi had gone viral earlier, the images of the Mathematics question paper were also available on the social media on Saturday, putting the BSE officials in a tizzy. Confirming the leakages, the BSE authorities on the day suspended three teachers in Kalahandi district.
“We learnt about it midway into the day’s examination and found that the photographs of the question papers were taken on a smart phone from an examination centre in Kalahandi district. The District Education Officer soon swung into action and suspended three teachers in this connection,” informed BSE President Jahan Ara Begum
Expressing her inability to arrest the menace, Begum said written complaints would be filed at the local police station against the three erring teachers to initiate criminal proceedings against them.
The examinations began on February 22 and will continue till March 8.
