Giridih police on Tuesday arrested two cyber criminals from Karmatard locations within limits of the Bengabad police station.
The arrested persons were involved in swapping ATM cards, hacking ATM machines and doing fraudulent online shopping for the last several months in Giridih, said Cyber Dy SP' Sandeep Suman.
The arrested criminals were Ajay Mandal and Charku Mandal belonging to Karmatard village.
Police also recovered, one feature phone and three smart Mobiles, police sources said.
Giridih SP, Surendra Kumar Jha said they used to hack ATM machines after which in guise of helping customers, the arrested persons swapped victim’s ATM cards and know the PIN codes which they used to feed in machine while withdrawing also used in online shopping.
He said the ATM cards of victims were later used to online shopping.
