The New Delhi Institute of Management (NDIM), affiliated to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, for its BBA programme, held a two-day national conference on Paradigm Shift in Management Practices for Fostering Excellence. Over 40 research papers were presented and a book on the topic was inaugurated by the chairperson Bindu Kumar, together with Ambassador Augusto Montiel, Embassy of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela; Rajiv Yadav, IAS, chairman, Brahmaputra Board, Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs, GoI, and various other luminaries. While addressing the gathering, Venezuelan ambassador talked about how everything, from the environment, to the global commons, must be stakeholders in public and private sector decision-making. Yadav spoke about the innovative HR practices implemented by Google. Other luminaries like S Rajagopalan, chairman, Public Relations Society of India; Vijay Kumar, director, MSME Institute; Anil Khaitan, former President, PhD Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Dr Balmiki Prasad, director, Freedom Fighters and Rehabilitation, Ministry of Home Affairs, GoI; Dr ChandanMitra, MD and editor-in-chief, Pioneer; Veena Swarup, ex-director (HR), Engineers India Limited); and many others.
