The largest Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) in the fertiliser sector—National Fertilisers Limited (NFL) recently hosted its 44th Annual General Meeting at New Delhi. The AGM was chaired by NFL’s chairman and managing director, Manoj Mishra, which saw various shareholders of the company in attendance.
The chairman informed that during the financial year 2017-18, NFL delivered superlative performance. The company registered a record total income from operations (standalone) of Rs 9025 crore with a profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 334.83 crore, which is also the best ever in the last 15 years. The company also earned a net profit (profit after tax) of Rs 212.77 crore for this financial year. NFL has recorded the highest ever Urea production of 38.10 lakh MT and a record fertiliser sale of 43.09 lakh MT which comprises the sale of 39.16 lakh MT of Urea and 3.93 lakh MT of other fertilisers.
While highlighting the achievements of the company, Mishra said, “NFL has gradually transformed from a single product to a multi-product organisation in the last few years by way of adding DAP, MoP, SSP and complex fertilisers, bentonite sulphur, seeds, new strains of bio-fertilisers and agro chemicals in its product line.”
The shareholders applauded the overall performance of NFL and the milestones achieved by NFL under the leadership of Mishra.
