Rajamouli blown away by KGF’s visuals

The director of Baahubali says that the VFX of the film is original

The trailer of KGF has been making waves across the country. This film with Kannada superstar Yash in the lead has some breathtaking visuals that have even impressed the Baahubali director SS Rajamouli.

The director spoke highly about the superstar and praised his work and said, “A bus driver’s son has become a top star in Kannada industry.”

Rajamouli also said, “I was blown away by the visuals of KGF. They have some original ones which have not been copied from Hollywood movies. The makers want it to be a pan-Indian movie.  Merely spending a lot of money wouldn't make it one. The subject should be universal and that is what makes KGF a real pan-Indian film.”

The director further added, “They (Telugu audience) warm up to any good film regardless of which industry it is coming from. I am really proud of my people.”

The makers had to recreate two specific eras at two different places for the film, which also included a lot of VFX. This is Excel Entertainment’s most ambitious project and is is set against the backdrop of the Kolar Gold Fields in Karnataka.

KGF features the story of Rocky (Yash) who aims to win the world and conquer the bloodiest gold mine. It is a period drama that traces the history of gold mining and the mafia running it in the fields of Karnataka’s Kolar region.

The film has been made in five languages including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam.

KGF traces the period of glory of the gold mine and its history.

Starring Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Ramya Krishna, Ananth Nag, John Kokken and Achyuth Rao in the lead, KGF is a Homabale Films production directed by Prashanth Neel, produced by Vijay Kiragandur while Ravi Basrur has composed the music.

KGF would mark Excel Entertainment's first Kannada venture and the production house is elated to be associated with a mega ambitious project as such.

The period drama traces the tenure of late 70s and will be made in two parts. The first of which will be titled KGF Chapter 1 which is slated to release on December 21.
