Om Dorjee, Executive Director of Bhutan Youth Development Fund, Bhutan will be present as the chief speaker on the occasion. The public lecture is open for all and anyone interested to be a part of it can join the lecture at 6 pm.

Informing about the public lecture, Manager at Swami Viveknanada library laxmi Sharan Mishra said that when the world is crazy to increase economic growth rates, then the world's small mountainous country Bhutan has released the 'Gross Prosperity Index' and forced the world to change its definition of development. Bhutan believes that the growth of the country is not known by the 'GDP growth rate'. Rather, it shows that the happiness in the people of the country has increased. So Bhutan does not issue GDP data in its country, but releases 'Gross Happiness Index'.

What is the Happiness IndexIJ What is the scale of prosperityIJ What does the Bhutan government do to end prosperity in the countryIJ Swami Vivekananda library is going to make a special arrangement this Tuesday to find answers to all these questions. In this special programme organized in Om Dorjee will explain the real meaning of happiness and what are the works done by Bhutan government in this direction.
