JMM’s ‘Sangharsh Yatra’ to be its last journey: Shahdeo

Saturday, 29 September 2018 | PNS | Ranchi

Questioning the rationale of JMM executive president Hemnat SOren’s ‘Sangharsh Yatra’, State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said on Friday that Hemant never cared about the development of the State when he was the CM of the State and now he is trying to befool the poor tribal people by launching the Yatra just ahead of the elections.

Shahdeo said that the JMM is baffled with the steps being taken by the government for the development of tribals and local residents of the State. “It is for the first time lakhs of people have got employment opportunities and the benefits of government schemes are reaching to them directly. First time the Raghubar Das government is thinking in the interest of the people else the JMM had used them as vote bank,” he said.

“When the JMM got a chance to send local people to Rajya sabha it auctioned the seats to people like MN Upadhyay, KD Singh. The JMM was formed on the issue of domicile and they also took back support from then Arjun Munda led government on the same issue. But, Hemant Soren, in his 14 month tenure had not even let the domicile related file move to 14 inches. The tribal and local vote bank of JMM has completely destroyed. The Sangharsh Ytra of the party is going to be the last Yatra of JMM,” he added.
