The Vigilance police on Tuesday conducted simultaneous raids at the houses and office of Mayurbhanj district’s Baguli Ashram School Headmaster Biswanath Sahu on the charge of acquisition of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income (a DA case).
Sahu’s residential double-storied building at Raghunathpur in Baripada town, house at Sanpakhna (Kherna) village, house of a relative at Saraskana village and office room at Baguli in Mayurbhanj district were searched. The Vigilance sleuths found movable and immovable assets worth Rs 96.70 lakh from the possession of Sahu and his family members including a double-storied building, a single-storied building, seven homestead plots, a car, two two-wheelers, bank, postal and insurance deposits, among others.The search was on.
