The controversial IPS officer U Uday Kiran (IPS-2015) has been transferred to Durg by an order issued by Home (Police) department on Friday.
Uday Kiran presently posted as City Superintendent of Police, Mahasamund has been transferred with immediate effect as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) S.T.F,, Baghera Durg. His posting will be till next order.
Uday Kiran was involved in thrashing of Mahasamund MlA Vimal Chopra.
The Health minister Ajay Chandrakar had visited and conducted a probe and submitted the report to Chief Minister.
The MlA had also called on CM to raise the issue. Meanwhile, if sources are to be believed, that Opposition was to rake up the issue of action against the police officer in the upcoming monsoon session of state Assembly.
Even the MlA had indicated that the demand for action and even termination of officer would be sought.
