The Centurion University of Technology and Management was awarded the “Best Skill-based Industrial Training Partner of Government of India” for its efforts social enterprise through its partner institution the Gram Tarang Employability Training and Services Pvt Ltd.
Gram Tarang, a Government of India skill-based industrial training institution, under guidelines of the National Skill Development Corporation and Central Government’s ‘Skill India’ programme, was honoured with the award at a recent partner’s meet on ‘Transforming India: Empowering Youth for Inclusive Growth’.
University president Prof Mukti Kanta Mishra received the award from the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), New Delhi Chairman.
Till date the Gram Tarang Employability Training and Services has trained more than 1, 47,000 youth from rural India.
