Village convergence centres to implement Poorna Shakti Yojna

The State cabinet here on Tuesday decided that the village convergence facilitation centres will be operated under the Women and Child Development Department in Bhopal district to implement the Union Government’s Poorna Shakti Kendra Yojna. A total of 26 posts have been approved for this center.

With the assistance of the Union Government, financial provision at the rate of 60 per cent Union Government share and 40 percent State share has been made under the Poorna Shakti Kendra Yojna.

One district coordinator and 20 village coordinators will work for the functioning of the pilot project. 10 villages will be selected by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department as per the cluster of identified villages.

Moreover, a sum of `1,000 per month towards expenses as conveyance allowance will be paid to each village coordinator under the sanctioned budget to run Village Convergence center under the Poorna Shakti Kendra Yojna. In the context of Plastic Industries in the State, Plastic Park at village Biloua of district Gwalior and in Dabra area of Gwalior are being developed under the Cluster Development Approach. The Name Madhya Pradesh Plastic Development Corporation Gwalior limited has been approved by the cabinet for the Plastic Project Scheme.

The speed of the project will be accelerated now. The total cost of the project is `83.43 crore. For this, approval has been given for minimum 51 percent of share of the implementing agency IIDC Gwalior for this SPV Decision has been taken to take `24.49 crore as share of SPV and IIDC Gwalior and `20 crore loan from the financial institutions towards the project cost. Moreover under the special case, decision to appoint Sonia Yadav on the post of assistant grade- 3 in the General Administration Department has been taken on compassionate ground. Sonia’s father late Ramshankar Yadav was posted as the chief guard at Jail Headquarter.

Besides, the cabinet has given approval for creation of new 16 posts for conserving the world famous Maihar Band of Madhya Pradesh. Currently, 18 posts are sanctioned including 17 posts of musicians and one post of assistant band master. The glorified and unique tradition of Classical Music in the name of Maihar Band is alive since 1918. Maihar Band, the devotion of Padma Vibhushan late Ustad Allauddin Khan and his heritage is known as a golden chapter of Indian Classical Music history. An additional financial burden of `40 lakh annually will be borne by the State Government.
