An agreement has been signed between Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam (UJVN) limited and Accenture Solutions Private limited for implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in UJVN limited.
The managing director of UJVNl, SN Verma stated that as per agreement ERP is to be implemented in 15 months. ERP is a software based on computer database by which various activities and information of an organisation are kept at one place and can be accessed easily. Verma said that ERP will bring transparency, collaboration between different sections, forecasting, efficiency enhancement and other improvements in the corporation. He further told that with the implementation of ERP, UJVNl will move forward in the direction of paperless working. The UJVNl is probably the first corporation of Uttarakhand to implement ERP. On this occasion Sandeep Singhal, Director (Projects), lM Verma, Director (Finance) and RB Tripathi, DGM (IT) from UJVNl and Sandeep Dutta , Managing Director (Resources) and Amit Khurma, VP Business Development from Accenture were present.
