The Special Joint Squad of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday during an eviction drive cleared the footpath from Patia Square to the Big Bazaar here.
The Special Joint Squad during the drive demolished six polythene sheds, six advertising gates, five iron cabins, a vehicle garage, five bamboo sheds and a flower shop.
During the drive, the vendors of Big Bazaar protested, but after some time the drive was carried out.
