State Minister for Water Resources Brijmohan Agrawal has said that Mahadev Ghat would take the shape of a tourist spot soon on both sides of Kharun river .
The Minister said this while having a discussion with officials of Water Resources Department during his visit to Kharun river bank recently. Agrawal had visited the Ghat area to review and supervise the ongoing renovation and construction work of the ghat.
He said that ongoing beautification work would be completed by next year as per the plan.
Installation work for “laxman Jhula” (Ropeway bridge) is being carried in full swing and for its structure, construction work is underway.
A garden will be developed in the river stretch in Durg district. Swings will be installed for entertainment of children, he added.
The Minister also directed officials for the construction of a Rest House.
Stairs have been constructed on both sides of Mahadev Ghat and for the safety of the tourists barricading has been done.
