Kalinga CSR Award given to 9 biz houses

The Institute of Quality and Environmental Management Service (IQEMS) in association with the Institute of Public Enterprises, Hyderabad and the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Heritage organsied the 2nd national seminar on CSR Initiatives here on Saturday.

Nalco CMD Dr TK Chand gracing as chief guest said the theme, Sustainable Action, is most appropriate since the real purpose of CSR is impact creation through sustainable action and not merely utlisation of budget.

Many industries, academia and NGO representatives presented different aspects of the CSR.

On the occasion, Dr Chand conferred “Kalinga CSR Award” on nine corporate houses for best practices in CSR achievements. A Souvenir was also released to mark the occasion.

IQEMS director Subrat Panigrahi proposed a vote of thanks.

Among others, South African High Commission senior Economic Advisor Dr Sarat Chandra Pradhan, former PIB Principal DG Dr Umakant Mishra, former IAS Sanjay Kumar Panda and former IFS Vinod Kumar were present.
