Saturday, 25 November 2017 | Staff Reporter | Bhopal

He is an artist, who sees the world through a kaleidoscope of colours and imagination. Nabibaksh Mansoori, a famous artist from Gujarat has put up a series of his works at Bharat Bhavan which is being really appreciated by the art enthusiasts of the city.

The solo exhibition ‘Beyond What I See’ by Nabibaksh Mansoori is being organised by Rupabh series of fine arts, Bharat Bhavan. Exhibtion that began from Tuesday has become a ‘must-see’ event for the Bhopalites.

Mansoori has put up a series of his drawings and water colour paintings at the Rangdarshini Art Gallery, Bharat Bhavan. Interestingly, his obsession with the art is also seen by the visitors, as throughout the day, Mansoori is seen busy painting his new creations.

Recently, he completed two canvases over which he portrayed what he sees and that goes beyond his own imagination. He weaves his imagination with the bright and vibrant colours and the result is breathtaking. He turns the empty canvas totally upside down into a bright and eye pleasing sight, and this is one of his major qualities, he loves to play with the colours.

Colour has always left him in awe. He was first introduced to it as a child after his father handed him a prism with convex and concave lens. That experience transformed the way he saw the world around him and is strongly reflected in his work to this day, a multitude of colours, daring brusque colours, layered imagery, sometimes dream-like, vivid use of light, all combine to create energy in his paintings that leaps out at the viewer.

The exhibition will be on view till Sunday.

The visitors find themselves surrounded with the artistic world created by Nabibaksh Mansoori as they walked through the gallery.
