Bhopal lads shine at Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced 2017 examination. Tushar Agrawal from Gyan Ganga Academy secured 13th All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Advanced. Securing the 13th AIR, Tushar became the State topper. He was also the city topper in JEE Mains 2017.
The results of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced 2017 were announced on Sunday at 10 am.
The city lads have showcased wonderful performance at the JEE Advanced by securing a place in top 500 AIR. Divyanshu Sharma from Gyan Ganga Academy secured 117 AIR, Aman Kumar Thakur from Rajeev Gandhi School secured 121 AIR, Anunay Sharma from Campion School secured 277 AIR, Shrey Shrivastava from Gyan Ganga Academy 319 AIR, Rohit Pathak from Gyan Ganga Academy secured 340 AIR, Shreyas V from Gyan Ganga Academy secured 351 AIR, Anand Daswani from Gyan Ganga AAcademy secured 377 AIR, Mohammad Safwan from Gyan Ganga Academy secured 457 AIR and Akshay Choudhary from DPS secured 496 AIR.
The exam is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) every year. This year, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras was the organiser of the exam. The exam was conducted on May 21.
As many as 1.7 lakh candidates had appeared in the JEE Advanced 2017. Approximately 3000 engineering aspirants from the State capital appeared for the examination.
It is to be noted that the candidate gets admission in Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and Indian School of Mines (ISM) on the basis of the performance of a candidate in JEE (Advanced).
After the results are declared, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct seven rounds of admissions in all the IITs of the country. Notably, there are over 11, 000 seats available in the 23 IITs across the country.
