The hospital administration of Shri Mahant Indiresh hospital here handed over the new born baby girl which was found abandoned by Police to Bal Kalyan Samiti on Monday.
The hospital management claimed that the baby girl was getting treatment in the Hospital for the past five months and now she has recovered completely.
The hospital’s nursing staff was happy to know the fact that soon the baby girl will get a new home from where some family would probably adopt her but on the other hand, they were quite emotional with tears in their eyes.
The incharge of neonatal care unit of hospital Sonam and other nursing staff had developed emotional attachment with the baby girl. The task of feeding, changing clothes and overall care was done by these nurses.
Addressing the programe organised on the occasion, the Medical Superintendent of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr Vinay Rai, said that the hospital staff is happy that the baby girl is perfectly healthy now. He expressed hope that soon the baby girl will be adopted and will have caring parents and a house. He congratulated the team of doctors and nursing staff treating and providing care to the baby girl.
The Chief Guest and Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) lokeshwar Singh said that Doon Police and Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital have set up a humane example by taking care of the baby girl. He congratulated the policemen which took the baby girl to Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital and hospital’s staff for their extreme concern for the baby.
It is worth mentioning here that Doon Police had brought a new born baby at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital for treatment about five month ago.
The policemen had located the baby girl
inside the bushes in critical condition near Clement town. The Management of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital took the whole responsibility of treatment of the baby girl.
The baby girl was treated under the supervision of Dr Ragini Singh of Pediatrics Department of the hospital.
