The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Friday decided that 73 units of the Keshari Mall in the city shall be e-auctioned.
The BMC-Keshari Mall is a PPP project, in which the BMC has 9,200 square feet floor area as its share. In the four-storied building, the BMC has 24 units in basement, 16 units in ground floor, 17 units in the 1st floor and six units in the 2nd floor.
For the first time, the BMC decided to go in for online auctioning for giving rent of these floors. The ground floor rent charge is fixed at Rs 60 per square feet and at Rs 50 for 2nd floor units.
A security deposit amount for five years shall be collected from beneficiaries. The highest bidder for the shops shall be allotted for doing business through online mechanism.
