2.3 l candidates appear for MPPSC prelims on Sunday

The candidates were asked to take off their shoes, socks, and wrist watches, while the female candidates were not allowed inside the exam hall wearing hair bands, scarves and stoles as they were all set to appear for Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) prelims 2017.

The MPPSC prelims were held on Sunday. Notably, the MPPSC has rolled out vacancies for total 393 posts for which the prelims were conducted on Sunday.

The exam was conducted at 524 centers in 51 districts of Madhya Pradesh. More than 2.3 lakh students appeared for the examination. From Bhopal the number of candidates was about 29,497.  Moreover, in Bhopal the examination was held at about 68 centers.

The exam pattern for 2017 was quite different from last years.

According to the experts, this year the difficulty level of the exam was high. Expert laxmi Sharan Mishra while analyzing the MPPSC prelims 2017 said, “The paper was quite difficult and the cut-off may go down this year.

The interesting part of this year’s prelims was that the questions were neglected earlier, this year they were focused upon.”

He further said that this year the major focus was upon current affairs. “International current affairs were asked which was never highlighted before. I think because of this the senior aspirants’ performance may get affected.”

He said that in a nutshell this years’ paper has changed a set mind-set for MPPSC. “This years’ exam has made MPPSC as one of the best state service examination atleast in Northern India.”

Strict checking carried out at examination centres

Bhopal-Prior the examination a strict checking was carried out at the exam center. The candidates were not allowed to wear shoes and socks in the examination hall. The candidates were also not allowed to wear full sleeves shirts, dupattas, scarves and stoles. The female candidates were asked to take off their accessories including earrings, hair bands and bangles. The candidates wearing sleepers were allowed in examination hall. The candidates were not allowed to bring cell phones and other gadgets inside the exam hall
