Sir — This refers to your editorial, “Getting Mallya back” (June 15). I agree with your prescription that hard work , not rhetoric is needed to bring back Vijay Mallya to India. May I add that his case is a classic example of a Sanskrit saying: Yavat jivet sukham jivet, rinam kritva ghritam pivet — roughly meaning, enjoy life at others’ expense.
Mallya even played victim saying his loan of Rs 9,000 crore is a peanut when compared to the Non Performing Assets of Indian banks. He should be socially ostracised.
