A major step in realising Digital Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu launched the final stage of ‘e-Pragathi’, a Statewide enterprise architecture programme, in Amaravati on Tuesday. Adoption of e-Pragathi made Andhra Pradesh the first State in the Country having its own statewide enterprise architecture programme thus establishing its position as the leading State in India and transforming it into a Knowledge Society.

State’s IT Minister Nara lokesh, Principle Secretary K Vijayanand and others participated in the programme.

After inaugurating Asia’s largest data centre at Mangalagiri IT Hub, Naidu focused on e-Pragathi which a major e-Governance program in his main agenda.

As the master plan of enterprise architecture, e-Pragahthi aimed to bring a paradigm shift in the Government departments function and interaction with the citizens of AP.

It focuses on achieving a unified and connected Government with citizen-centric at its core. The Rs 2,400 crore e-Pragathi, in implementation, would lead to a free flow of information among departments, paving the way for an integrated, outcome driven and accountable Government, Naidu said.

Furthermore, as a platform, e-Pragathi would encourage citizen participation in the Government processes making it more inclusive in good governance and set a path for realisation of ‘Sunrise Andhra Pradesh Vision 2022’, he explained.

Naidu appealed to the Industry and Enterprenuers in India and Abroad ‘to examine the plan minutely, to take advantage of the limitless opportunities unfolded by e-Pragathi’.
