In the first major administrative reshuffle since taking over on March 19, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath transferred 20 IAS officers on Monday. All officers considered close to the powers that be in the previous regime have been removed and put in the waiting list.
On his return from Central deputation, Avneesh Kumar Awasthi, widely believed to take over as Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, has been posted as Principal Secretary Information, Endowment, Director General of Tourism and Chief Executive Officer of UP Expressway Development Authority.
Excise Commissioner Mrityunjay Kumar Narayan will be Secretary to the Chief Minister and also hold charge of Estate department, Civil Aviation and Director of Cultural Affairs along with the charge of Excise department.
Officers close to the previous SP regime and who have been kept in waiting are Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Estate and Excise departments Anita Singh, Principal Secretary of Information Navneet Kumar Sehgal.
Vice-chairman of Ghaziabad Development Authority Vijay Kumar Yadav and Secretary and Director of Cultural Affairs Dr Hariom have also been kept in waiting. Rama Raman the Controversial IAS officer and Principal Secretary Infrastructure and Chairman of Noida and Greater Noida Rama Raman has been kept in waiting.
Commissioner of Meerut division Alok Sinha has been posted as Principal Secretary Infrastructure and Industrial Development and Chairman of Noida and Greater Noida.
Additional Chief Secretary of Geology and Mining department Dr Gurudeep Singh has been kept in waiting and Member, Board of Revenue (lucknow) Raj Pratap Singh has been posted in his place. Singh will continue to hold the charge of Member Board of Revenue.
Commissioner Commercial Tax Mukesh Kumar Meshram has been divested of additional charge of Secretary of Technical Education. Similarly, Secretary of Vocational Education and Sill Development Mission Bhuvnesh Kumar has been relieved from the additional charge of Commissioner of lucknow division.
Principal Secretary of Integrated Child Development Scheme Dimple Verma has been removed and kept in waiting. Anita C Meshram, who had been awaiting posting will take over from Dimple Verma.
However, Commissioner and Director of Industries and MD of UP Stare Industrial Development Corporation Amit Kumar Ghosh have been removed from both posts and have been kept in waiting.
Chief Executive Officer of NOIDA and Greater Noida Deepak Agarwal has been kept in waiting and Investment Commissioner in Delhi Amit Mohan Prasad has been given additional charge of CEO of Noida and greater Noida.
Two officers who had plum postings in the previous regime, Secretary to Chief Minister Amod Kumar and Secretary Housing Pandhari Yadav have been posted as Member (Judicial) in Board of Revenue, Allahabad.
