On the 25th day of the ongoing month-long Maa Narayani Yatra, the fifth edition of the magazine Maa was unveiled by Cultural and Tourism Minister Ashok Panda on Thursday.
Former Minister and MlA Padmanav Behera, Phulbani MlA Duguni Kanhar, Narayani Yatra Committee president Ashok Patnaik, secretary Tapan Patra and advisor Siba Tripathy were present, among others.
Secretary Tapan Patra requested to Minister to enlist the Yatra in the tourism calendar. The Yatra will celebrate its golden jubilee after two years. Around `50 lakh is required for the golden jubilee celebration, said Patra.
MlA Behera requested the Culture Minister to sanction fund development of the Maa Narayani temple.
The Minister assured to enlist the Yatra in the tourism calendar. Notably, the department has sanctioned `60 lakh for Chakapad, Balaskumpa and Putudi waterfall in the district.
