Advanced communications techniques used by Madhya Pradesh police at police stations, police outposts, First Response Vehicle (FRV) van and squares at major cities have provided better security to the citizens and at the same time helped in nabbing the criminals, said Minister for Home and Jail Babulal Gaur told the State assembly on Tuesday.
Gaur said that to put a check on increasing number of crimes, Madhya Pradesh police have adopted latest technology. New recruitment to strengthened police force, new houses for the police personnel and other budgetary provisions have been made which were required for the modernisation of the police.
Madhya Pradesh is among the leading States that implemented the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS). In the state in 1029 police stations at 428 offices of senior officials the work is done through CCTNS, he added.
Providing details of CCTV camera installations he said that at 1972 places in 61 States security arrangements through CCTV cameras would be established and out of the 61 cities, 11 cities having 832 places the process of installation in the last phase.
Elaborate arrangements for Simhasta have been made where the expected devotees would be around 5 crore and for security 25000 police personnel would be deployed, he added
