Haryana Government on Wednesday claimed that the ‘Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon’ scheme launched by Haryana Discoms (UHBVN & DHBVN) has achieved a milestone by successfully qualifying all the norms for phase-1 in nine feeders throughout the State.
Giving details, Nitin Yadav, Managing Director, UHBVN said here that all the 26 villages of these feeders namely Raiwali, Tikri, Shahpur, Dabri, Galib Kheri under UHBVN, and Bar Gujjar, Talwara, Bijuwali & Khatrawan in operation circles Ambala, Karnal, Gurgaon and Sirsa have met all the criteria including replacement of defective meters, replacement of naked wires with Aerial Bunched Cables, relocation of the meters outside the premises of the residents.
In addition, all the unconnected or disconnected households were asked to take regular electricity connections with their load enhancement requests to be processed on priority. They were also allowed to pay their arrears in 5 installments with their entire surcharge amount to be waived off, said he.
Yadav said that with the completion of all the above criteria and keeping in view its commitment, Haryana Discoms have increased the power supply of these feeders from existing 15 hours to 18 hours per day.
In addition, the Discoms have adopted 17 more feeders comprising of 77 villages to be benefitted under the scheme in operation circles where the first phase of the scheme has been successfully completed. The power supply of all these villages has now been increased from 12 hours to 15 hours per day from January 26 onwards, he added.
