The State Government on Monday effected a major reshuffle in the Superintendent of Police (SP) level and appointed 2003 batch IPS and Keonjhar SP Kavita Jalan as the new Cuttack Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).
According to a notification, 2007 batch officer Pandit Rajesh Uttamrao replaced Jalan while 2005 IPS Sanjeev Arora was appointed as Angul SP.
Ashish Kumar Singh of the 2010 batch was appointed as the Balangir SP while Pinak Mishra (2011), K Vishal Singh (2008), Prakash R (2008), MP Sampat (2012), SS Mishra (2012), Nikhil Kumar Kanodia (2003), JN Pankaj (2006) was posted as SPs of Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Mayurbhanj, Bargarh, Nabarangpur, Sundargarh and Jagatsinghpur districts, respectively.
While Jagatsinghpur SP Sudha Singh of the 2006 batch was posted as the new Vigilance SP, 2004 batch IPS Dr Deepak Kumar was appointed as AIG at State Police Headquarters, Satyajit Naik of the 2008 batch was the given the charge of the State Task Force (STF) SP and 2007 batch IPS Awinash Kumar would continue as Commandant 5th Battallion.
In the OPS cadre, Manoranjan Mohanty was appointed as the Khordha SP while incumbent SP Dilip Das was shifted to Bhadrak. BK Panigrahi was posted as Dhenkanal SP while Madhab Chandra Sahu was appointed as Cuttack Rural SP and Sushil Panigrahi as the Gajapati SP.
