Acharya Balkrishna, a celebrated researcher of Ayurveda and a close aide of Baba Ramdev, was bestowed with ‘Bharat Gaurav’ award by Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor of Haryana and Punjab in recognition of his amazing work in the field of Ayurveda at a programme organised by Indian International Friendship Society at New Delhi on Saturday.
Speaking on this occasion, Gurmeet Singh, secretary of the Society, said the joint efforts of Ramdev and Balkrishna had reached the yoga and Ayurveda to the nook and corner of the Occident in an incredibly short span of time.
In his address, Governor said that a crucial need being felt across the world for a harmonious bridging of the Orient and the Occident, the contribution of the Acharya can hardly be over-emphasised.
Chaudhary Virendra Singh , a Central Minister and Bhism Narayan , former Governor of Tamil Nadu and Assam, other than many eminent persons from U.K , U.S.A and Dubai were also present.
