The issue of regularisation of the workers of National Health Mission (NHM) is being looked into with positive frame of mind by the State Government. The State Health Minister Surendra Singh Negi gave this assurance to the NHM workers while speaking on the occasion of a felicitation ceremony organised by the NHM contractual employees association at Jain Dharmshala here on Sunday.
Negi said that the NHM workers are doing a commendable work in the state health service. The State Chief Minister Harish Rawat was also scheduled to visit the programe but he could not make it to the venue due to busy schedule.
The State president of the association Sanjay Chauhan said that the felicitation ceremony was organised to honor the Chief Minister Harish Rawat, health Minister and other Ministers of State Government for reinstatement of popular Government in the State.
He said that the Harish Rawat has been supportive for the cause of the NHM workers and assured time and again that services of no contractual worker would be terminated.
Apart from job regularisation the members also demand a proper insurance cover and implementation of Human Resource policy for them. The association also wants removal of pay disparity and timely increments.
There are more than 1500 contractual workers employed under NHM who are working in different projects and hospitals of State Government.
