Three Bermo youths killed in road accident

Bermo/Giridih: Three youths, who were belonging to Singhpur area of Bermo sub-division, were killed when a Alto car (JH-09-1432)in which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck near Jokat, Chouparan on NH-2 under the Chouparan police station on Sunday.

 

Thieves steal items from SBI lockers

Hazaribagh: In a daring incident thieves stole items from more than two dozen lockers of State Bank of India’s, Charhi branch. It is not clear yet that what amount, ornaments, papers or other items has been stolen but as per talks going on at Charhi the criminals have stolen good amount along with ornaments and other precious items in huge quantity.

 

Body of abducted youth recovered

Hazaribagh: Body of Hemant Ganjhu, son of Jaynandan Ganjhu, of Bayodhar village of Barkagaon block was found on Monday in the Partand area of the Bendi forest of Katkamdag block.Hemant was abducted on 27th February from Dahori village of Katkasandi block where his sister resides.

 

22-year-old woman killed for dowry in Giridih

Giridih: A 22-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her in-laws in the village laxamtunda under the Nimiaghat police station here on Sunday evening. Her father Md Hassim of Chino village of Dumari PS has lodged an FIR (30/16) in this connection. The victim Hazaara Khatoon (22) was reportedly married to Maqsud Ansari of laxamtunda village last year. Her body was found in hanging inside the room of the house

 

lED bulbs distributed under UJAlA scheme

Jamshedpur: About 3,96,923 lED bulbs have been distributed under the Government of India’s UJAlA (Unnat Jyoti by Affordable lEDs for all) scheme. lighting sector accounts for about 20 per cent of the total consumption in India. Currently, most of the lighting need in domestic and public lighting sector is met by inefficient, conventional, incandescent bulbs. This achievement is reflective of the citizens’ contribution to becoming more energy efficient. Under the UJAlA scheme in Jharkhand more than 39 lakh lED bulbs have been distributed in a span of just 4 months.

lohardagga: New building of Gandharwa Public school was inaugurated by MlA Sukhdeo Bhagat at annual function of the school on Monday. On the occasion, the MlA said, “To light the candle of education is pious work. The children should be given intellectual knowledge as well as opportunity for physical development. By education the country can be developed.”

 

‘Utkarsh’ Workshop concludes at DPS

Bokaro: A five-day workshop ‘Utkarsh— activity based learning was concluded on Monday at DPS Bokaro. The workshop was organized for the students of Commerce stream with an innovative attempt to bring the participants face to face with the real world of Business and Business methods using Activity Based learning, said a school authority. It was was followed by the valedictory ceremony.
