David Coleman Headley alias Dawood Gilani on Monday admitted before a special court here that he had married thrice and he readily gave the names of his three wives as Shazia Gilani, Portia Peters and Faiza Outelha.
Queried by Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam whether he was a “married person,” Headley responded that he married in 1999.
Unsatisfied with the reply, Nikam prefaced his next question saying that he did not want into his personal life, but wanted to know “how many wives you have”. Headley replied saying “one” and gave her name as Shazia Gilani.
Asked as to who Portia Peters was, he said: “I was also married to her”. When Nikam questioned about Faiza, he said: “She was my third wife. I married her in 2007.”
Headley revealed that that Faiza was also known as Faizala Christiana, who hailed from Morocco. He also confirmed the e-mail ID of Faiza before the court.
