 Notably, ‘Silk Mark Vanya Silk Expo’ exhibition cum sale of silk products will be organized on October 29 at Jehan Numa Palace, Bhopal. While informing about the expo to the media persons here on Tuesday, Ramesh said, “Silk Mark is generic promotion scheme as well as consumer protection measure.”

Informing about the expo, he said that Silk Mark Vanya Silk Expo will feature the varieties from 11 states of the country. It is an expo which is being organized for the first time in the State and is one of its kinds. Elaborating more about it, he said that the weavers and traders, who are the authorized users of Silk Mark from far flung weaving centers, are participating in this expo. This silk mark will display gamuts of silk products under one roof for the silk lovers of Bhopal. In this Silk Mark Vanya Silk Expo, each and every product will be 100% natural silk that will carry Silk Mark label to assure the purity, he added. 

Vanya Silk Products will be added attraction in the expo. The products developed by Research and Development wing of Central Silk Board for adoption by the manufacturers will also be displayed in the expo. He also said that a live demonstration of sericulture will be held at the expo. Notably, the Silk Mark Vanya Silk Expo will be inaugurated by Nishant Warwade, Collector and District Magistrate, Bhopal and former Mayor of Bhopal Krishna Gaur will be present as the guest of honour on the occasion. Expo will be on view till November 2.
