Prabhat Kumar Bardiyar has joined as the 46th Sub Divisional Officer of Koderma on Thursday. Former SDO liyakat Ali handed over the charge formally to new SDO on Thursday.
Prabhat Kumar Bardiyar took charge as the new sub-divisional officer of Koderma and said, “I am a public servant and will do my best in discharging duties.” The contentious issue of anti-encroachment drive at Jhumaritelaiya and Koderma seems to be the biggest challenge for the incumbent.
On being asked, the official said that he had not decided on his course of action yet.
“I have to follow the instructions of deputy commissioner. As I am new to the place, it will take me a couple of days to learn about the problems and challenges in my new assignment,” he said.
Sources in the district administration said Kumar is posted as sub-divisional officer as he had considerable experience in dealing with villagers as he was earlier posted as Block Development Officer in the district at Jainagar and Markachcho.“
