The first Executive Advisory Board meeting of the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), Bhilai chapter was held at Bhilai Club the other day.
YK Degan ED (works) and Chairman of QCFI, Bhilai Chapter, while welcoming the representatives of various organisations, hailed the decision taken to form an advisory body.
He described the objectives of the advisory body. Secretary QCFI GP Singh, briefed about the chapter’s activities and outlined the programme proceedings. He made a presentation on activities and milestone achieved by QCFI, Bhilai chapter.
Executive Director, QCFI DK Shrivastava spoke about the forum and its activities. He also showed visuals of the organisation in phases pre and post implementing 5-S.
QCFI President AK Mittal remarked about the need of an advisory body for each chapter and the vital role of QC and 5-S for service industry.
He said that QC and 5-S knowledge should to be imparted to students at school and college level so that quality people could be produced from the beginning. They could perform better in day to day work life, he added.
