Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State vice-president and frontal organisations’ membership in-charge Manoranjan Mishra said that the woman cell of party would submit one lakh membership forms in a programme scheduled at Mandsaur on March 29. Madhya Pradesh is at number two position in country by making 93 lakh new members after Gujarat, he added.

Mishra in a statement on Thursday said, “Process of assembly constituency-wise review of membership is going on. State organisational general secretary Arvind Menon would take meetings in the assembly constituencies of Indore as he has already completed review meetings  of Bhopal.”

Mishra said that Menon has lauded the enthusiasm and diligence of party workers and told them to continue with the same spirit till March 31. “Review of the ongoing mega membership drive would be done during the two-day national working committee meeting of the party scheduled in Bengaluru on April 3 and 4,” he added.

He said that State president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan and Menon would participate in the national executive along with other State office-bearers of the State. Preparations are also on for celebrating the establishment day of the party on April 6, at all the rural and urban centers, the BJP State vice president said.

He said, “Till now, Madhya Pradesh is number two in membership drive with 93 lakh members, only Gujarat is ahead of us. The average membership in the State during the ongoing mega membership drive is at one lakh members per day.”
