Setting an example for others, DC Mukesh Kumar made an appeal to all the officers, university-college teachers and citizens to adopt a Government school and to spend some time in teaching the students.

DC Mukesh Kumar spent about two hours time at Government girls’ high school where he taught some chapters of geography, political science and economics to class XII students. He started with some basic questions of these subjects and when the students failed to answer the name of the capital of France, he then called the teacher and directed him to give them the names of capitals of every State of India and the capitals of at least 50 countries of the world which they will have to remember in a week.

Advising the students to have a thorough study of NCERT books, DC Kumar said that it will prove beneficial for you (students) in competitive exams also. He also taught students about an open economy and closed economy with examples. Kumar tried to give a preliminary idea of the federal system of our country giving a brief account of both upper and lower houses of the Parliament.
