The highly entertaining and colourful programme of ‘Cub Bulbul’ was organised at Maitri Bagh under the auspices of Scout Guide, Bhilai District Association with the cooperation of Education Department of the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) here.
The concluding session of the programme was graced as Chief Guest by S K Saha, ED (Mines) Bhilai Steel Plant and H Khan, State Training Commissioner Scouts, Raipur was present as Guest of Honour, according to a BSP press release issued here on Thursday.
Both the dignitaries applauded the assembled children from different schools for abiding by the ethical values and living a disciplined life.
‘Cub Bulbul’ festival was inaugurated be DGM Education R K Gopal by hoisting the Scout Guide flag.
The colourful extravaganza had myriad hues which comprised of different contests like rope climbing , identifying the spices by sniffing, drawing and painting, tree decoration and group dance.
The 'Cub' and 'Bulbuls' exhibited their skills through these activities.The Group Dance competition included a display of colourful peacocks and parakeets enthralling the audience through the beautiful musical rendition. The tiny tots dealt with serious issue like the sufferings of the victims of the Bhopal Gas tragedy who are still searching for God in different forms.
The winners of different contests were felicitated by the guests. Among the various schools EMMS 10 was adjusted first , EMMS 2 stood second and EMMS 6 was adjudged third.
Sarita Behel, Manish Tiwari and S K Tamboli conducted the proceedings of theprogramme.
