Acting on a disproportionate assets allegation, Vigilance officers on Monday simultaneously searched the residential houses and office room of Kalahandi RTO Dinabandhu Sundhi and detected assets worth Rs 1,35,85,971 in his and his family members’ names.
Sundhi’s house at Saswat Vihar in Bhubaneswar, parental house at Pandupani village in Mayurbhanj district, mother-in-law’s house at Ulidi in Jamsedpur and his office room at Bhawanipatna were searched.
An official release said Sundhi had joined as Junior MVI in April 1992. Subsequently, he was promoted to the rank of Additional RTO, Sambalpur and then to MVI rank in 2006. Finally, he was promoted to RTO rank in 2011 and was posted at Bhawanipatna and is continuing till date.
The detected assets include household articles worth Rs 7,11,890, gold ornaments worth Rs 13,14,000, various deposits worth Rs 59, 11, 168 and immovable assets worth Rs 51,28,853.
