Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat launched Mobile Application ‘SARTHI Uttarakhand’ and a ‘labour Verification’ software at Rudrapur police lines in Udham Singh Nagar on Wednesday. In his address, CM Rawat congratulated the police for launching SARTHI Uttarakhand and said that the police officers will have to think seriously about how to use new technology effectively in the era of high-teach. He directed the police officers to ensure that all the labourers who have migrated to the district from other places are verified cent percent under labour Verification Scheme in the district. This will help in reducing crimes against women in the district, he added. Rawat said that with the change in nature of crimes, the criminals use advanced technology.   

On the occasion, Udham Singh Nagar SSP Nilesh Anand Bharne said that with the help of ‘SARTHI Uttarakhand’, people, especially the women, facing crimes like dacoity, kidnapping, eve-teasing, rape, vehicle loot, theft and the like can report taking note of which police would act swiftly. One can install this application on his smart phone too. City Control Room official will act promptly on all the information regarding the same received on mobile application to help the aggrieved persons. This service is available in 24/7. In addition, labourers working under contractors in various industries will be verified through online. Software has been developed. In this software, a data bank of all the labourers working in various companies in SIIDCUl will be made and their detailed information will be available there. On the occasion, MlA Hemesh Kharakwal, DM Pankaj Kumar Pandey and other administrative and police officers were present.
