The Bokaro district administration’s investigation team recommended a fine of Rs2.50 crore to Chinmaya Vidyalaya for flouting the RTE norms. Team led by DDC Bokaro recommended the fine after investigation of the documents and others, said Manoj Kumar DC Bokaro.
“An explanation notice has been served to the school management. If we did not get satisfactory reply within the stipulated time, lawful action would be taken against the school management”, added DC.
Delhi Public School (DPS) and Guru Govind Singh Public School (GGPS) also have been served the ‘explanation letter’ for not cooperating with the investigation team, he said.
Tightening the noose on privates schools DC issued the order to refund the amount by 25 May which was taken as re-admission and other supplementary charges from parents, official sources said. Notably, amidst government’s directives, collections of supplementary fees along with tuition fee are still continued by the private schools in Bokaro.
The school managements are harassing the parents and compelling them to pay monthly tuition fee along with others fees on different heads like–Technology Fee, Electricity charges, Building maintenance charges, School Welfare Fund, Activity Fee, Sports Fee including others, said a guardian of a student of GGPS School.
Putting all directives on toes the school managements are saying that we did not received any such directive yet and you will have to pay the whole amount if you want to continue your child’s education in our school, said another guardian.
