Cherished dream of Vindhya region people to witness white tiger will be fulfilled soon. In this regard, construction work of white tiger safari in Mukundpur zoo-cum-treatment centre is almost complete.
About 80 per cent construction works of white tiger safari and zoo have been completed as per guidelines of Central Zoo Authority. Target has been set to complete works within 15 days. Forests and Bio-diversity Minister Gaurishankar Shejwar and Public Relations and Mineral Resources Minister and in-charge of Satna district Rajendra Shukla inspected construction work of white tiger safari in Mukundpur zoo-cum-treatment centre. Rewa Mayor Shivendra Singh was also present on the occasion.
Both the ministers went round various places in the zoo-cum-treatment centre and issued necessary directives. It was informed on the occasion that entire 6-km long wall of the zoo and work of tiger safari have been completed. Five enclosures have been constructed for tiger safari and housing animals. Zoo has been constructed in 2 parts.
Tourists will be given facility to enter tiger safari in packed vehicles. About 68 species of wildlife will be kept in enclosures including white tiger, tiger, lion, panther, leopard, bear, hyena, crocodile, Barasingha etc. Work of tiger safari was started in July 2013. Electricity will be used in administrative and residential buildings while solar light will be used in the zoo.
